“Israel stands at the front line, but we do not stand alone,” Deputy Foreign Minister Sharren Haskel tells European allies in Bucharest.
“Ours is a history of friendship forged in struggle and deepened in shared values,” Israel’s deputy foreign minister told Czech legislators at the event.
“If I need to choose between the life of my children and the sympathy of the Europeans, the choice is clear,” said Sharren Haskel.
“Israel’s relations with African countries are a strategic asset and an integral part of our effort to strengthen Israel’s standing internationally,” said Sharren Haskel.
The move is an “important step” in strengthening bilateral relations, said Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar.
