Anti-Israel Bias

Israel Allies Caucuses in the European Union and the United Kingdom have already spoken out against the labeling laws, and the Netherlands passed a resolution against them
“The UNHRC, which consists of tyrannical states and despot regimes, proves once again that it is a rotten institution that makes delusional decisions which have no connection to actual human rights,” said Israeli Strategic Affairs Minister Gilad Erdan.
Illini Hillel and the Jewish United Fund in Chicago said jointly, “Jewish students and allies worked hard to defeat the bill, with more than 30 students speaking out. Unfortunately, the climate was deeply hostile not only to Israel, but also to Jewish communal concerns.”

In a statement posted on Facebook, the “Harvard Jewish Coalition for Peace” called itself “a new organization founded in the idea that Jewish liberation is inextricably bound up with the liberation of all people.”
One ad had a collage featuring Reps. Betty McCollum (D-Minn.), Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) and Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.), saying, “The radicals in the Democratic Party are pushing their anti-Semitic and anti-Israel policies down the throats of the American people.”

Illini Students Supporting Israel board member Aaron Merlin, a junior, told JNS that the vote was wrong and not representative of the overall university community.
“I see everything through the lens of my Jewish upbringing, my Jewish values,” says the Illinois congressman.
Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz blasted the decision to release the blacklist, calling it a “shameful surrender to pressure by countries and organizations interested in harming Israel.”
The cities referred to include Jerusalem, Nazareth and Tiberias.
