Anti-Israel Bias

With anti-Israel fever raging on many North American campuses, a new book offers some help in sorting out where incoming undergraduates may feel increasingly uncomfortable.
This development comes amid accusations of anti-Semitism within the movement’s leadership, causing many organizations to drop their support of the this year’s march, scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 19.
“Unfortunately, we really aren’t surprised. Tlaib is turning out to be the exact person we were warning she is,” said Republican Jewish Coalition spokesperson Neil Strauss.
“If you tolerate or are sympathetic to those who are prejudiced against Jews, we cannot stand with you. If you deny Israel’s right to exist, we cannot stand with you,” said Ammiel Hirsch, senior rabbi of the Stephen Wise Free Synagogue on Manhattan’s Upper West Side.
Norway contributed nearly $2 million between 2017 to 2019, while Sweden gave $500,000 between 2017 and 2018.
“Israel is a racist State,” said Mary Bain Lockhart, a Fife councilor. “And since the Palestinians are also Semites, it is an antisemitic State. It is time we stopped propitiating.”
“Anyone who propagates hateful messages is free to express their opinions as they wish, but should not be given a public platform at an educational establishment to do so,” said Liora Rez of the Center for Combating Hate in America.

“Evangelicals represent 25%-30% of the American population and strongly support the nation of Israel, the birthplace of our own Christian heritage,” reads the letter sent by the 38 leaders.
The Twitter post included a handwritten note: “People who support Israel should have their immune cells killed so they can see how it feels to not be able to defend yourself from foreign invaders.”
