Mort Zuckerman, the billionaire owner of U.S. News & World Report and former owner of the New York Daily News, put a hold on his donations to Columbia University, after giving “a significant minority percentage” of the $200 million he pledged to create a Mind Brain Behavior Institute, the Washington Free Beacon reported.

Zuckerman, who is Jewish, cited Columbia’s “failure to address rising antisemitism,” per the publication.

“The recent decisions and actions taken by Columbia have been antithetical to the university’s mission and it is simply not the same institution it was when Mr. Zuckerman made the pledge,” a spokeswoman for the Zuckerman Family Office told the Free Beacon. “We will continue to evaluate the situation in the hope that Columbia will restore its reputation, standing and mission as a respected educational institution.”

The lawmakers sent a letter to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security accusing the administration of influencing a court’s decision to deport the anti-Israel activist.
The measure “does not serve the cause of peace in the Middle East, help feed Gazans or work toward the outcomes Ireland says it seeks,” a State Department spokesperson told JNS.
“No more giving cover to our enemies at the Shabbat table,” said the founder of Antisemitism Watch.
“The deal is a ceasefire, and it will not be a one-way ceasefire,” an official said on Monday.
“This is a win for the Jewish community,” a spokesman for B’nai Brith Canada told JNS.
“He is the U.S. president, I’m the Israeli prime minister,” Netanyahu said about reported disagreements with Trump.
