Several Jewish groups were invited to meet with Prince Khalid Bin Salman Al Saud, Saudi Arabia’s defense minister, in Washington, D.C., on Jan. 30.

The defense minister, who is the brother of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, will be in Washington meeting with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and U.S. Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff.

The American Jewish Committee, the Republican Jewish Coalition, the Anti-Defamation League and the Conference of Presidents of Major Jewish Organizations were invited to the meeting, according to Jewish Insider.

“KBS to meet with Jewish American groups and friends of Israel,” wrote Hussain Abdul-Hussain, a research fellow at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies. “Meanwhile, Saudi media blames the UAE and Israel for implementing a Zionist conspiracy against the region.”

“Let’s see if he’s offering an olive branch and resumption of normalization efforts or endorsing the Qatari model of speaking from both sides of their mouth,” he stated.

Jewish Insider said the Jewish groups had not yet confirmed whether they would accept the invitation to the meeting. (JNS sought comment from the organizations.)

“The secretary of state has determined and provided detailed justification that an emergency exists that requires the immediate sale to Israel,” the U.S. State Department said.
Sen. Maria Cantwell cited an “alarming rise in attacks against the Jewish community here in Seattle and in Europe.”
“I was accosted by a group of several individuals in the hall, among them students and non-students,” Michael Kotlikoff stated.
“This investigation is being treated as a suspected hate-motivated offense,” the Toronto Police Service stated.
