The condemnation comes after the IDF downed three Hezbollah drones heading toward the Karish gas field, amid efforts to jump-start maritime border talks between Israel and Lebanon.
The drones, which were launched from Lebanon, were shot down over the Mediterranean Sea.
“This is part of an Iranian strategic calculation to turn Syria into another zone of activity for Palestinian terror organizations,” says Michael Barak, a senior researcher at the Institute for Counter-Terrorism in Herzliya.
“The exchanges were productive and advanced the objective of narrowing differences between the two sides,” said U.S. State Department spokesman Ned Price.
