A first date at Swell Dive in the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood of Brooklyn, N.Y., did not go well, but it had nothing to do with awkward chemistry.
Journalist Elad Eliahu, 29, who writes for Tim Pool’s Timcast News, alleges that on April 9, bartender Alvin Dan, upon recognizing his name as Jewish, called him a “Zionist fascist.” Eliahu also said that Dan refused service and chased him out of the bar, yelling insults and threats.
Eliahu had directed his date to leave for her own safety. He reported that she “was shaken up.”
He has filed suit against the bar.
