Bolton’s time is now

The Iranian mullahs have already miscalculated regarding U.S. National Security Advisor John Bolton, but they still don’t realize just how determined he is.

Dr. Joseph Frager is a lifelong activist and physician. He is chairman of Israel advocacy for the Rabbinical Alliance of America, chairman of the executive committee of American Friends of Ateret Cohanim and executive vice president of the Israel Heritage Foundation.

For the past 10 years, I have brought U.S. National Security Advisor John Bolton to the Israel Day Concert in New York’s Central Park for the express purpose of warning the world of the dangers of a nuclear Iran. As Bolton himself will tell you, however, he has been warning America and the world about Iran’s nuclear ambitions for a lot longer—more than 20 years.

Indeed, he has devoted the latter half of his life to getting rid of Iran’s nuclear capabilities.

Yes, he believes regime change would be best, but as far as he’s concerned, everything is on the table.

Bolton’s time to shine has finally come. With the election of U.S. President Donald Trump, the brakes are finally being put on Iran’s race to destroy Israel, which they refer to as “the little Satan,” and America, which they refer to as the “Big Satan.”

Bolton’s appointment as national security advisor ensured that Iran’s reign of terror was finally coming to an end. Immediately after his appointment, the president pulled out of the apocalyptic Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), known as “the Iran nuclear deal” or just “the Iran deal.” Sanctions have been ramped up and Iran has been given notice.

Iran decided last week to resume the production of nuclear centrifuges and begin accumulating nuclear material. This is all in preparation for enriching uranium again. It had already thumbed its nose at America by firing ballistic missiles in October. Iran’s hostile rhetoric has increased. A showdown seems imminent.

There is no doubt in my mind that if the Iranian regime continues down the path of disregarding Bolton and President Trump, it will learn the hard way it has made a fatal mistake. Like National Security Council arms director Tim Morrison said, “Iran has a choice.” If it chooses unwisely, then it will face the full fury of the United States of America. As Bolton recently said, “any attack on America or its allies will be met with unrelenting force.”

America showed its resolve this past week by sending the USS Abraham Lincoln carrier strike group and a bomber task force to the Gulf.

The Trump administration is hoping that by increasing sanctions, regime change will occur in Iran. The mullahs are hoping that America will carry out a limited military strike, which would boost their standing among the Iranian people.

If Iranian President Hassan Rouhani makes good on his threats, including restarting work on the Arak heavy-water reactor, then Bolton will go all the way. The mullahs have already miscalculated regarding Bolton and Trump. The national security advisor will never allow Iran to go nuclear. I don’t think the mullahs realize how determined John Bolton is.

Bolton’s time is now.

A deadline in the law has yet to pass, but Rabbi Josh Joseph, of the Orthodox Union, told JNS that “we expect the mayor and the NYPD to work in close coordination with the community to ensure that the intent of this legislation is fully upheld.”
Moments after Varsha Gandikota-Nellutla, of the Hague Group, made the admission, Andrew Gilmour, a former senior U.N. official, warned her that “there are 108 people on this call, so just assume it’s not confidential.”
The Israeli consul general in New York told JNS that this year was the first time the Jewish state held an Independence Day celebration in New York City under a mayor who doesn’t recognize it.
“I’m catching up,” Lior Haiat told JNS. “Many of the people I met last time are not in office anymore.”
The meeting was also attended by U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee, senior Trump administration official Aryeh Lightstone and Israeli tech entrepreneur Liran Tancman.
