The report did not specify the topics to be discussed, though the development comes amid increased tensions between America and Iran, and ahead of a Mideast peace plan workshop set for Bahrain.

U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo will be meeting next week with the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations, reported Jewish Insider on Tuesday.

The Conference of Presidents is an umbrella organization consisting of groups, including the Zionist Organization of America, the Anti-Defamation League, the Jewish Council for Public Affairs and the Orthodox Union.

The report did not specify the topics to be discussed, though the development comes amid increased tensions between the United States and Iran, in addition to the release of the Trump administration’s peace proposal next month at an economic workshop in Bahrain.

Conference of Presidents executive vice chairman Malcolm Hoenlein declined to comment on the record.

A spokeswoman for the State Department, Marlo Cross-Durant, referred JNS “to the secretary’s public schedule of events, which is released daily.” The schedule for next week has yet to be released.
