Fake wanted posters of two Jewish regents at the University of California, Berkeley were found on campus on Tuesday.

Dan Mogulof, assistant vice chancellor of executive communications at Berkeley, told JNS that the school found “disturbing and threatening posters targeting members of the UC board of regents” on campus.

“The posters violated campus policy governing where material can be placed and were removed within an hour,” he said.

StopAntisemitism posted images of what it said were the posters, which refer to Jonathan “Jay” Sures as “a vocal Zionist” and Richard Leib as “a self-proclaimed ‘proud Zionist.’”

Mogulof said the university’s police department is “actively investigating the incident and asks anyone with information about the incident to please contact the department without delay.”

“There is, at the moment, no information as to whether the perpetrators were members of the campus community or the public at large,” he told JNS.

Meredith Vivian Turner, senior vice president of external relations and communications at the UC president’s office, told JNS that the public school system “unequivocally condemns these acts of antisemitism in the strongest possible terms.”

“Such displays of antisemitic rhetoric and hate have no place at UC and are antithetical to the university’s values,” Turner said. “We are firmly committed to ensuring our Jewish community members feel safe and supported on our campuses and will provide any support UC Berkeley needs as this investigation proceeds.”

“Such hate has no place in our schools or our state, especially as we begin Jewish American Heritage Month,” said Maryland Gov. Wes Moore.
“While our ability to provide additional information at this time is limited, we will continue to keep the community informed,” the private D.C. university stated.
“This is not a prank. It was an act of intimidation meant to spread fear,” Vince Gasparro, a Liberal parliamentarian, told JNS.
“We welcomed this traitor into our nation with open arms,” the U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Michigan said. “And he repaid us by building a bomb and helping our great enemy.”
The “failed approach” to lasting peace between the countries has “allowed terrorist groups to entrench and enrich themselves, undermine the authority of the Lebanese state and endanger Israel’s northern border,” said State Department spokesman Tommy Pigott.
“One has to wonder how that humble pie tastes for the Democrats today,” Sam Markstein of the Republican Jewish Coalition told JNS.
