Amy Klobuchar
Following the Democratic debate at the Charleston Gaillard Center, in response to whether or not she would attend, Klobuchar replied “No” to JNS, citing that the conference coincides with Super Tuesday on March 3, when 14 states will hold their primaries.
“Let me be very clear in how strongly I believe that that promise that the prime minister made during his political campaign was wrong,” said U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) at the annual J Street Conference.
“It would have been better done as part of a negotiation for a two-state solution,” said Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.). “I think it’s unfortunate it was done the way it was done, but I wouldn’t reverse it.”
While Klobuchar has mostly stood along party lines on issues such as supporting the 2015 Iran nuclear deal, she has shown a willingness to break from other members of her own party, such as supporting the fight against the BDS movement.
