The Im Tirtzu findings contradict NIF claims to donors that “it will not support organizations that call for and support a comprehensive boycott of the State of Israel.”
Under Israeli law, the designation now allows authorities to close the nonprofits’ offices, seize their assets and ban supporting their activities.

Sunrise DC also urged Declaration for American Democracy to remove three Jewish organizations from its member list, believing “Zionism is incompatible with statehood and political sovereignty.”
