A neo-Nazi murdered a co-worker before committing suicide in Western Australia.

Lachlan Bowles, 25, was reportedly wearing camouflage, with a swastika on his shirt, and carrying a Nazi flag when he killed Terry Czernowski, a father and his colleague at a grain silo business.

The shooting took place in the town of Kellerberrin, some 127 miles east of Perth.

Bowles also shot at a farmer before police found him on a rural property in a town of 900, which had been put on lockdown. In a standoff on a nearby field, Bowles killed himself.

Police said the killer and his victim had worked together for years and knew one another.

Several Australian states have recently pursued banning public displays of Nazi imagery and performing Nazi salutes. Tasmania was the first Australian state to enact such a ban.
