“Jewish Americans and all those targeted by white nationalist hate are all too often looking over their shoulder, fearing for their safety,” Schumer and all of the other Senate Democrats said.
“These kinds of violent threats have absolutely no place in our political system,” the Jewish senator said.
He called on his Republican colleagues to “take a clear stand against hatred and antisemitism” by supporting his proposal.
The Senate minority leader stated that the reporting and images out of Gaza “underscore the dire human cost of this ongoing conflict.”
Amichai Chikli referenced the congratulations the senator extended to anti-Israel N.Y. mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani.
At least two GOP representatives also questioned the constitutionality of the president’s order to attack and his threats to follow up.
“The Iranian regime’s stated policy has long been to destroy Israel and Jewish communities around the world,” the Senate minority leader stated.
“Our federal authorities must bring the full weight of our civil-rights laws to bear in examining this matter,” the Senate minority leader stated.
As protests fell to “violence, antisemitism, the colleges had to do something,” the Senate minority leader said. “And a lot of them didn’t do enough.”
The Jewish Senate minority leader’s book events are on hold “as the New York Democrat faces blowback over his recent vote to avert a government shutdown,” Jewish Insider reported.
Trump signed an executive order intended to revolutionize the fight against Jew-hatred.
