Gonen Segev apparently met his Iranian handlers in secret locations, attempting to network between them and Israelis in the defense establishment under the guise of creating business partnerships.
Gonen Segev, a former Israeli minister who was found to have met repeatedly with Iranian intelligence officials and given them sensitive information, will serve 11 years in prison as part of a plea bargain deal.
The former Israeli politician allegedly transferred his Iranian handlers information on the Jewish state’s energy economy and security sites, as well as diplomatic and security personnel and buildings.
