Likud Party releases primary results for November election

The Likud Party announced the results of its primary and released the final list of candidates for the November elections for the 25th Knesset on Thursday afternoon.

Likud faction director Yariv Levin leads the Party’s Knesset slate, followed by Eli Cohen, Yoav Galant and David (“Dudi”) Amsalem.

Yuli Edelstein, who had previously been high up on the list, dropped down the list. This came after the former Knesset speaker and health minister said he had planned to challenge Likud head and opposition leader Benjamin Netanyahu for leadership of the party.

Tzahi Hanegbi also dropped far down the list and likely will not make it into the next Knesset. Because of the reserved spots on the list for specific groups such as a woman running for the first time, an immigrant, a haredi member and a non-Jew, as well as regional representatives, only those that made it into around the top 20 spots will get into the next Knesset.

In polls, the Likud is predicted to get around 35 seats. Below is the full Likud list:
