The Hebrew phrase mazel tov (“good luck”) echoed across Microlab Road in Essex County in northern New Jersey on Thursday as the street was officially renamed “Miracle Way.”

On hand to unveil the new street signs and mark the naming were the mayor of Livingston, N.J., Alfred Anthony, and former mayor and current Town Council member Ed Meinhardt. They were joined by the staff of LifeTown, along with a group of volunteers and participants.

Anthony said he was looking forward to LifeTown’s grand opening on Sept. 9. LifeTown “is a jewel in our town. I love coming here,” he said.

LifeTown CEO Rabbi Zalman Grossbaum mentioned that the name of the street is apropos given everything that goes on at LifeTown and at a special-needs school across the street.

“The miracle of LifeTown is all the people—from community leaders to our families and all the teens who volunteer, their energy and mitzvot have created miracles,” he said. “We are so proud to be in this town and so thankful for the town embracing LifeTown.”
