Candidate Marie Newman reportedly signed contract with pro-Palestinian activist as part of bribery scandal.

“J Street should also renounce its support of other anti-Israel candidates, including Jamaal Bowman, who just last week turned his back on the historic progress being made between Israel and Arab states by pulling his support for the Abraham Accords,” Jeff Mendelsohn, executive director of Pro-Israel America, said in a news release on Tuesday.

Rep. Marie Newman (D-Ill.) is under investigation by the House Ethics Committee after a report concluded that there was “substantial reason to believe” she had violated federal law by promising employment to a political rival as a part of a quid pro quo.
