At Israel’s northern border, the U.S. ambassador highlighted efforts to keep the Iranian terror proxy defeated.
“Thank you for supporting Israel at the United Nations with clear moral clarity,” the Israeli president told the U.S. envoy in Jerusalem.
Waltz is scheduled to meet with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Isaac Herzog.
“The parties have seized this historic opportunity to finally end decades of bloodshed and make the president’s vision of lasting peace in the Middle East a reality,” a spokesman for the U.S. mission to the United Nations said.
Senators voted 47-43 to approve the former national security advisor and congressman from Florida on a mostly party-line basis.
“UNWRA in Gaza, with its staff involved in the Oct. 7 massacre, its schools teaching antisemitic hate, must be dismantled,” the former national security advisor said.
The Israeli statement came amid reports the former U.S. national security advisor angered Trump over his push to strike Iran.
The U.S. president stated that Marco Rubio, the U.S. secretary of state, will also serve as interim national security adviser.
Iran must completely dismantle its nuclear program, including enrichment and weaponization, as well as its strategic missile program, said U.S. National Security Advisor Mike Waltz.
“The ceasefire would have been extended if Hamas released all remaining hostages,” tweeted the U.S. national security advisor.
“Hamas will not rule Gaza. They will not cause another Oct. 7. And we will work with Israel to make sure that doesn’t happen,” the US national security advisor stated.
The U.S. could talk with the Iranians if they forgo their “entire [nuclear] program,” said the U.S. National Security Advisor.
