Chabad-Lubavitch

Chabad-Lubavitch is a philosophy, a movement and an organization. More than 5,000 full-time emissary families (2,000-plus in the United States) apply 250-year-old principles and philosophy to direct more than 3,500 institutions (and a workforce that numbers in the tens of thousands) dedicated to the welfare of the Jewish people worldwide.
The event featured an emotional procession through the streets of Manhattan’s Upper East Side.
The first Australian National CKids Summit culminated with the annual JewQ championship.
“In a time when Jewish identity is being challenged, there is no better way to honor the Rebbe’s legacy than by expanding Jewish education and outreach,” said Rabbi Mendy Kotlarsky.
It was the first of its kind in the region with plans to hold another for Spanish speakers in the next few months.
The event on Lag B’Omer was a celebration of Jewish pride and a testament to resilience in the face of adversity.
“We remember the life and legacy of the Lubavitcher Rebbe and recommit to our shared values of honesty, dignity and equal justice that he long championed and that have made America strong.”
Rabbi Bentzion Laskin: “The speakers, entertainers and guests will increase everyone’s sense of unity, Jewish pride and connection to their heritage.”
“Together, we launched the ‘Light for Israel’ campaign, and it rapidly gained momentum,” said Chani Altein, a Chabad-Lubavitch emissary in Pittsburgh.
