Palestinian hit-and-run driver turns himself in after injuring IDF soldiers

Following his voluntary surrender, the unidentified man told authorities that the incident was a car accident.

A Palestinian man turned himself into Israeli security officials on Sunday after hitting four Israel Defense Forces’ soldiers with his car near Beitar Illit southwest of Jerusalem.

Three female and one male Home Front Command Kedem Battalion soldiers were treated for light wounds at Shaarei Zedek Medical Center in the capital, after being hit with a car near the Judean city of Beitar Illit. The driver fled the scene to the nearby Arab town of Husan.

The soldiers were on foot patrol at the time of the attack.

Following his voluntary surrender, the unidentified man told authorities that the incident was a car accident. He was taken into custody pending an investigation.
