An adviser to Israel’s Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich has been wounded during Israel’s ongoing ground operations in Southern Lebanon, Ynet reported on Wednesday.

Shmuel Buchris, a reserve company commander in the Israel Defense Force’s Alexandroni Brigade, is in good condition, according to Smotrich’s office.

The Israeli military announced earlier on Wednesday that three soldiers had been seriously wounded in separate incidents in Southern Lebanon.

Hezbollah continued its attacks on northern Israel on Wednesday, launching two rockets at Israel’s northern coastal plain, triggering sirens as far south as Caesarea. Both rockets were successfully intercepted, according to the IDF.

There were no reports of damage or injuries.

During the morning hours, sirens also sounded in Yiftah, the Mevo’ot HaHermon Regional Council, Manara and Margaliot.

Overight Tuesday, the IDF said it had intercepted a drone launched at Israel “from the east.”

The Iran-backed Islamic Resistance in Iraq took responsibility, claiming to have launched multiple drones at targets in northern and southern Israel.

Israeli Air Force hits over 230 targets in Lebanon, Gaza

The Israeli Air Force struck over 230 terror targets in Lebanon and Gaza over the past 24 hours, the IDF said on Wednesday morning, including 185 Hezbollah sites and 45 Hamas sites.

These included terrorist cells, infrastructure sites, military structures, observation posts, launchers and weapons storage facilities.

Furthermore, during ongoing IDF ground operations in Southern Lebanon over the past 24 hours, soldiers dismantled rocket launching sites posing a threat to northern Israeli communities, killed terrorists in close-quarters encounters and aerial strikes, and seized a large amount of weaponry, including anti-tank missiles.

In Gaza, Israeli forces killed dozens of terrorists, located weapons and dismantled terrorist infrastructure sites and rocket launchers ready to fire at Israeli territory, according to the IDF.

“The IDF is prepared for every defensive and offensive scenario, on all fronts,” the army said.
