WATCH: Nine parties make their case in Israel’s English-language election debate

Israel’s election is approaching and nine candidates from across the political spectrum are going head-to-head over the country’s future.

Dov Lipman and Ruthie Blum host a special Online English Election Debate, presented in partnership with JNS and Telfed. The debate brings together representatives from Likud, Yashar, B’Yachad, Religious Zionist, Reservist-Economic Party, Yisrael Beiteinu, Democrats, Otzma Yehudit and Amcha Yisrael for a direct debate on their competing visions for Israel.

Hear the candidates explain their party platforms and answer questions directly from voters ahead of Israel’s consequential election.

“For Jewish families, this means the chance to give their children an education rooted in who they are, without being priced out,” stated Sydney Altfield, of the Orthodox Union.
The South American nation will be the 10th country to establish a diplomatic mission in Israel’s capital.
“If Michigan Hillel wants to remain the center of Jewish life on campus, it cannot retreat from one of the central and challenging parts of being Jewish there,” Seth Mendel, of CAMERA, told JNS.
“The ICC is not a court,” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated. “It is a political body that poses a mortal threat to law-abiding democracies worldwide and to the very idea of national sovereignty.”
