Weitzman National Museum of American Jewish History

While the person is expected to face charges, an investigation into the August incidents remains ongoing, police said.
A museum spokesperson told JNS that cleanup is still underway.
Philip Darivoff, the Weitzman’s chair emeritus, said the merger “would counter antisemitism at a crucial time and celebrate the four centuries of Jewish life in America.”
Through text and images, “we can celebrate our story, the Jewish story,” said Nikki Schreiber. “We can give people a little flavor of our lives.”
“All Americans should understand the inextricable, indelible and important links between our nation and its Jewish communities,” Phil Darivoff, chair emeritus of the museum, told JNS.
“This powerful institutional integration signals a strong commitment to address the dramatic rise in antisemitism,” said co-sponsor Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.).
Karen Paikin Barall of the Jewish Federations of North America called it critical that “we have a place to shine the light brightly on the contributions made by Jews in United States society throughout history.”
Malala Yousafzai, the Nobel-prize-winning activist for women’s rights, served as executive producer on the film.
An exhibition in Philadelphia in 2015 focused on the art of the books’ Jewish writer and illustrator Bernard Waber.
The free video series will feature 15- to 25-minute performances from musicians who showcase a range of “styles, heritages and histories.”

Carr, Sharansky to headline online discussion on ways to combat anti-Semitism
The online discussion will take place at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 15.
According to its CFO, the museum plans to restructure “so that its debt service is reduced to a level that will allow the museum to sustain its operations for the long term.”
