U.S. special envoy to combat anti-Semitism Elan Carr and human-rights advocate Natan Sharansky are scheduled to headline an online event to discuss solutions to combat anti-Semitism.

The event will be hosted by the Combat Anti-Semitism Movement, which will announce the winner of its first-round contest for creative and engaging solutions to combat anti-Semitism. The event was initially scheduled to take place at the National Museum of American Jewish History in Philadelphia, but was rescheduled due to concerns about the coronavirus.

The 75-minute discussion will include a discussion on insights to fight anti-Semitism, including how the Soviet Jewry movement can influence efforts today.

In December 2019, the Combat Anti-Semitism Movement selected the winners of its Venture Creative Contest, in partnership with CAMERA, AISH, Artist4Israel, Tikvah Fund, JNS, ICC, American Sephardic Federation and the Galila Foundation. The first round of the contest aimed to crowd-source new solutions to help fight anti-Semitism.

More than 140 individuals and organizations submitted proposals for the contest, building a creative hub to fight anti-Semitism.

On Sunday, 27 recipients will receive grants from the Combat Anti-Semitism Movement with the total amount of $100,000, including the winner of the Natan Sharansky award.

The online discussion will take place at 1:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on Sunday, March 15.
