American Friends of the Hebrew University (AFHU) announces two executive appointments in its Northeast Region office located in New York City.
Maura Milles was promoted to Executive Director of the AFHU Northeast Region in September 2022. The region encompasses the tri-state New York Area and the northeastern states. Milles is a fundraising leader with more than 20 years of experience in higher education, arts and culture, healthcare, and social change organizations. Prior to joining AFHU in 2015, she worked with organizations including NYU Langone Medical Center, the New York Botanical Garden, and the Jewish Museum. Milles received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Boston University and attended Tel Aviv University’s Overseas Student Program.
Also joining the Northeast Region office is Robin Milich as senior philanthropic officer. Prior to joining AFHU, Milich served as the New York Tri-State executive director for the American Committee for the Weizmann Institute of Science. Prior to that, she was president of the NYC-SNY and LI Chapters of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society where she worked for 20 years.
Milich earned master’s degrees in social work and public health from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from SUNY Binghamton. She resides in Morristown, New Jersey with her family.
