Jewish National Fund-USA’s largest-ever National Conference welcomed a record 500 college students to the organization’s College Summit. With an engaging program and exciting speakers, the summit provided important tools for students seeking to become informed advocates for the land and people of Israel, while also providing them with professional networking and career development opportunities.
The summit featured Zionist thought leaders, including authors Ben M. Freeman and Hen Mazzig, along with Israeli Judo Champion Ori Sasson.
“We’re a generation that is witnessing a new wave of antisemitism that’s taking many different forms and which directly affects us on our college campuses every day,” said College Summit Co-Chair Tali Peretz, a Senior at Northeastern University. “We have a lot of passion, we have a lot of knowledge, and because of that, I feel that as upcoming leaders, we can advocate for Israel in a very unique and informed way that will reach a wider audience.”
In addition, college seniors had the opportunity to meet with Jewish National Fund-USA’s community of young professionals (JNFuture), where the soon-to-be-graduates gained invaluable advice and a strong network of contacts to leverage as they enter the next stage of their professional lives.
“I was thrilled to get the chance to serve as co-chair for this summit and meet hundreds of like-minded people with connected yet varying experiences as Jewish and pro-Israel college students,” said College Summit Co-Chair Jacob Hochstein, a Junior at Duke University. “I’ve enjoyed discussing these shared experiences and finding solutions to strengthening the Jewish and pro-Israel communities at our own universities.”
