A moving proposition

U.S. President Donald Trump says Palestinians should be encouraged to leave the Gaza Strip, enabling Israel to remove Hamas once and for all.

The only way for Israel to have peace is to end Hamas’s rule in Gaza by implementing U.S. President Donald Trump’s plan for the strip. Virtually everyone agrees that Hamas cannot remain in power. The only way to ensure this is for the Israeli Defense Forces to clear them out. That can only happen if Gaza’s civilian population is no longer there.

Some say that those who want to leave Gaza should be allowed to leave, but that no one should force the people in Gaza to leave. The fact is that those who oppose Hamas rule will all want to leave Gaza and, thus you would be left with only those who support Hamas rule and the goal to destroy Israel and to keep an unrelenting war against Israel as those who want to stay in Gaza. Hamas opposes allowing anyone to leave Gaza. That alone is the reason why they should be taken out of Gaza.

Those who supported the kidnapping and vicious murder of the Bibas kids and their mother should not be allowed to stay in Gaza. Those who supported the massacre of 1,200 people on Oct. 7, 2023, including the burning and beheading of babies, should not be able to live in a place from which they can launch another war against Israel. It is not immoral to move these people out of Gaza, but it is immoral to allow these people to stay in Gaza with such a genocidal goal.

Those who believe that you cannot empty Gaza appear to be the same people who, like then-Vice President Kamala Harris, said that Israel could not move over a million Palestinian Arabs from Rafah during the war. Yet, Israel did so within two weeks. Similarly, Israel can move the Palestinian Arab population from all of Gaza as well. It should be noted that around 7 million people left Ukraine and around 5 million Arabs left Syria during their wars, and almost all had no problem finding places to live.

If the neighboring countries like Egypt and Jordan fear taking in the Palestinian Arab population then they should offer to be a conduit for that population to go to other countries, instead of Egypt making it very expensive for any Palestinian Arab to leave Gaza. It should be obvious to allow all those who want to leave, and a poll showed that before Oct. 7 over 40% of those Palestinian Arabs under 30 years of age wanted to leave Gaza, and likely many will want to leave now as before Oct. 7, many had homes and now almost all Palestinian Arabs in Gaza have no place to live because of Hamas’s war against Israel.

The argument that no country will take them is likely also not accurate as U.S. special envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff has already publicly stated that countries are offering to take the Palestinian Arabs from Gaza. It is further obvious that Trump will be able to convince countries to take in the Palestinian Arabs from Gaza. The Arab alternative plan tries to argue that some areas of Gaza are still livable, though the Trump administration said it will take 10 years for the land to be livable in a normal fashion and not just small parts of the land. The issue is not just Gaza livability, it is that the Palestinian Arabs living there overwhelmingly supported the Hamas attack on Oct. 7. Those who supported the Oct. 7 attack will do so again if given the chance and are a continued source of instability if they are not moved out.

There is no solution to the Palestinian-Arab conflict with Israel because the Palestinian Arabs have not and will not give up their genocidal goal to destroy Israel and murder the 7 million Jews in Israel. They have shown with the murder and beheading of many babies and children on Oct. 7, and their celebrating the kidnapping and butchering of the Bibas children and murder of their mother, that they want to murder every Jew as enumerated in Article 7 of the Hamas charter. The only way to end the conflict is to remove them from a position where they can launch attacks on Israel, which means moving them away from close proximity to Israel. Many of these people want to leave as they cannot stand living under Hamas rule.  Almost all those who will not want to leave are supporters of the Oct. 7 attacks and should not be allowed to stay.

If Trump’s plan is implemented, he will have the opportunity to solve the seemingly intractable Palestinian-Arab conflict and may just bring peace to the Middle East.
