Democrats and Republicans on the Senate intelligence committee sparred at a hearing over the bombshell report that top U.S. national security officials unwittingly planned airstrikes in a chat with a journalist.
“Even with a reduced footprint, the U.S. Department of Education is clearly capable of handling antisemitism more effectively than it has in the past,” Kenneth Marcus, chair of the Brandeis Center, told JNS.
“The experiences of the Jewish students at these institutions have been emblematic of what we have seen across the country, and that must change, and it must change now,” the ADL stated.
“These sanctions are being imposed pursuant to President Trump’s maximum pressure campaign to drive Iran’s oil exports, including to China, to zero,” the U.S. State Department stated.
In a Ukraine-focused call, the two leaders also agreed to work to “stabilize the situation in crisis areas” of the Middle East.
“Mahmoud Khalil was an individual who was given the privilege of coming to this country,” the White House press secretary said. “He took advantage of that opportunity, of that privilege, by siding with terrorists.”
U.S. President Donald Trump had touted the anti-Israel activist’s deportation proceeding, while Democrats decried it as “authoritarianism.”
“I’d rather see a peace deal than the other, but the other will solve the problem,” the U.S. president said, hinting at possible military action against Iran’s nuclear program.
