“Anti-BDS legislation is about commercial activities, not about people’s ability to speak,” says the 33-year-old. “People are free to criticize Israel; that is a protected right. But organized boycotting and divestment with the support of state, local or federal government is not acceptable.”
“We have been watching the unfolding events in Syria regarding the Kurdish community with horror and anguish,” said David Harris, CEO of the American Jewish Committee, which is planning to hold a solidarity rally in New York for the Syrian Kurds.

In a campus email, Chancellor Robert Jones wrote: “This exercise was part of a university program created to help students learn to share diverse ideas and perspectives that lead to new understanding. Instead of fostering dialogue, it incited division, distrust and anger.”
The three freshmen congresswomen are scheduled to officially make the announcement at a rally for Sanders at an Oct. 19 rally in New York.
“We cannot allow the Russians to continue to grow in influence by growing on the world stage,” said New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker.
“Congress is losing one of its most impactful members and greatest supporters of a strong U.S.-Israel relationship,” tweeted William Daroff, senior vice president of public policy at the Jewish Federations of North America.
