This development comes amid accusations of anti-Semitism within the movement’s leadership, causing many organizations to drop their support of the this year’s march, scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 19.

Jewish pros, cons regarding nomination of William Barr as US attorney general
William Barr, who served in the same role under the late President George H.W. Bush, will now face the Senate Judiciary Committee.
Senate Majority leader Mitch McConnell voted against the motion. Immediately after the vote, he filed a motion to reconsider for the fourth time.
“Unfortunately, we really aren’t surprised. Tlaib is turning out to be the exact person we were warning she is,” said Republican Jewish Coalition spokesperson Neil Strauss.
“Anyone who propagates hateful messages is free to express their opinions as they wish, but should not be given a public platform at an educational establishment to do so,” said Liora Rez of the Center for Combating Hate in America.
The final tally was 53-43. At least four Democrats voted for cloture: Arizona’s Krysten Sinema, Alabama’s Doug Jones, West Virginia’s Joe Manchin and New Jersey’s Robert Menendez.
Former Israeli Maj. Gen. Yaakov Amidror remarked that the U.S. decision to withdraw its troops from Syria “means that the whole Kurdish area will be under threat from Turkey. And the question is: Is it good for the Middle East or it is bad for the Middle East?”
“The federal government should not use taxpayer dollars to subsidize one of the most infamous hate groups in the United States,” said Rep. Vern Buchanan (R-Fla.). “That’s why I’m demanding your department immediately cease all contracts with the Nation of Islam and prohibit it from receiving any contracts in the future.”
“As ambassador, he worked to strengthen the ties between the U.S. and Israel, and was a visionary about the need for Israel to utilize modern technologies and methods to get its message across. His clarity of thought and well-reasoned arguments never failed to impress even Israel’s opponents.”
“It is in America’s national security interests to ensure that our allies in the Middle East, like Israel and Jordan, remain secure amid the region’s growing destabilizing threats posed by Iran and Syria’s Assad regime,” said Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.).
While the Women’s March was founded in opposition to U.S. President Donald Trump’s policies and views, many involved feel that the leadership has taken the movement in the wrong direction, citing anti-Semitism, support for BDS movement and their close ties of with Nation of Islam head Louis Farrakhan.
