After the International Atomic Energy Agency issues a laconic statement about a proposed secret Iranian nuclear site outside Tehran, Israel’s premier fires back, warning time may be running out.
A call to vote follows the Institute for Monitoring Peace and Cultural Tolerance in School Education report that analyzed new Palestinian textbooks, proving that they “encourage Palestinian children to sacrifice their lives in the name of religion,” and “glorified martyrdom and violent resistance.”
European Union efforts to preserve the nuclear deal, also led by the three European architects of the accord—France, Germany and the United Kingdom—puts the United States in direct conflict with its largest and most powerful NATO allies.
“Iran has been put on notice at the continued mischief they’ve caused around the area. The murder they have caused from Syria and what they’re doing with [Syrian President Bashar] Assad,” U.S. Secretary of Defense James Mattis said on Tuesday.
“This new package will widen economic and sectoral relations in areas that are of direct benefit to our citizens,” E.U. High Representative Federica Mogherini said in a statement.
“It is in the interest of the European Union to stop considering the Golan Heights as an ‘occupied territory’ and to recognize Israel’s sovereignty over this territory,” said Fulvio Martuscello, Italian MEP who chairs the European Parliament delegation for relations with Israel.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has instructed the Foreign Ministry Director General to summon the E.U. ambassador for a second reprimand and also intends to take additional steps.
An attempt to keep the Iranian nuclear deal alive after U.S. President Donald Trump pulled out of the agreement in May.

More than a dozen NGOs that promote anti-Israel boycotts have received some 5 million euros annually in European Union funding. In addition, an estimated several million more euros were channeled to boycott-promoting NGOs through third parties that receive E.U. assistance.
