Netanyahu proposes air-defense system to defend against Iran

Funding for the project would have to come from the existing defense ministry budget, cuts from other areas or an increase in taxes.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu proposed an advanced air-defense system in a cabinet meeting on Sunday that would counter the Iranian threat, reported Israel radio Kan.

After the strikes against Saudi oil facilities last month allegedly carried out by Iran, the defense system would focus on protecting against such cruise-missile attacks at a cost of billions of shekels.

Funding for the project would have to come from the existing defense ministry budget, cuts from other areas or an increase in taxes.

The more than 20 cruise missiles and drones that hit two Saudi Aramco oil facilities in September were launched from southern Iran, a senior U.S. official told CBS News at the time.

“With the news of the stabbing last week of an Asian American and a Jewish American on the Upper West Side, this funding is especially critical and timely,” stated Inna Vernikov, a Jewish member of the New York City Council.
“I’m running as a pro-Denver candidate on what I can do to make life better for people in Denver on a day-to-day basis,” Dr. Shimon Blau told JNS.
Danny Ayalon told JNS that the Israeli premier “will come with more intelligence showing that the Iranians are trying to rebuild their nuclear capabilities and infrastructure.”
The museum CEO told JNS that she hopes it will be a place for learning, contemplation as well as hope and optimism.
“Investigators are examining all possibilities, including whether the two incidents may be related,” a spokeswoman for the Toronto Police Service told JNS.
“I will proudly honor the families, the survivors, the first responders forever impacted by that horrific terror attack,” the mayor said.
