The seventh annual beer festival held in the Gush Etzion community of Tekoa on Friday attracted nearly 3,000 people, according to event organizers.
The festival featured beers from 15 local breweries, as well as local street food and artisan sales.
“Seven years of impressive and unforgettable festivals in Tekoa,” said Shlomo Ne’eman, Gush Etzion Regional Council head.
“The annual event provides another opportunity for Israelis to visit and get to know beautiful Gush Etzion, situated close to Jerusalem and the center of the country. The event has become a summer staple in Gush Etzion and in Judea and Samaria, and unites people of all stripes from all parts of Israel,” said Ne’eman.
David Rodman, Gush Etzion Tourism Division head, said, “I am proud to continue the amazing tradition of hosting the annual Tekoa Beer Festival in Gush Etzion. Thousands enjoyed the event, which was catered to diverse groups of Israelis. This event was just the tip of the iceberg of what we have planned for visitors this summer in Gush Etzion, a region which has become the capital for tourism and heritage in Judea and Samaria. This summer we hope to welcome thousands of additional visitors to Gush Etzion from all over the country, and from every walk of life.”
