Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana told Gerardo Werthein that Javier Milei is the “most pro-Israeli president in the history” of the South American nation.
The visit to the Jewish holy site included a prayer for the peace and security of Israel and Argentina.
“Your unwavering support for Israel and the Jewish people is truly inspiring,” wrote Danny Danon, the Israeli envoy to the United Nations.
“The foundation of the relationship between Argentina and Israel is the value of freedom and democracy. In this regard, I have prioritized our bond with Israel, elevating it to an unprecedented level,” wrote Argentinian President Javier Milei in a letter read out at the event.

At Gerardo Werthein’s inauguration, President Javier Milei referenced the weekly Torah portion, suggesting it’s a divine sign to follow Abraham’s lead.
The Argentine president called out the world body for systematically voting against the Jewish state, “the only democracy in the Middle East, which protects liberal democracy.”
Seven representatives met with South American heads of state and government officials.
“They will not be able to escape the eternal condemnation of a court,” the Argentine president said.
“Argentina must once again align itself with Western civilization,” said President Javier Milei’s office.
Ambassador Rabbi Shimon Wahnish—the spiritual leader of Argentina’s pro-Jewish president—previously led the Moroccan Jewish community of Buenos Aires.
“It was the indifference of the free world that made the Holocaust possible,” Javier Milei said.
