Two Israeli police officers injured in Jerusalem stabbing; terrorist killed

The officers were evacuated for medical treatment.

Two police officers were wounded early on Sunday in a terror attack in Jerusalem’s Old City, according to the Israel Police. The assailant was neutralized by officers on the scene.

The suspect arrived at the Huta Gate in the Muslim Quarter at approximately 4:30 a.m., drew a knife and attacked the officers, stabbing one. Other officers present on the scene opened fire, neutralizing him. He was later pronounced dead on the scene by medical personnel.

The two officers, who suffered light to moderate wounds, were evacuated for medical treatment.

Additional police forces quickly arrived on the scene and began searching the area for additional threats. Israel Police Jerusalem District Commander Doron Turjeman also visited the scene, and conducted a situation assessment.

“Of all the things left for Shlock Rock to do, this was one of them,” lead singer Lenny Solomon told JNS. “I had played Birmingham. I had played Montgomery, but I had never played Mobile.”
According to the party, 76,068 members voted, a turnout of 53%.
“There is democracy within Likud,” Israeli Transportation and Road Safety Minister Miri Regev told JNS.
“The Saudi curriculum has never been more positive in its portrayal of religious minorities or more encouraging of peace and tolerance,” said IMPACT-se CEO Marcus Sheff.
