The state of Delaware will require Holocaust and genocide education in middle and high schools beginning with the 2021-22 academic year.

A bill was signed into law by Gov. John Carney last month to mandate such education for grades 6 through 12. Each district will be able to develop its own curriculum.

The bill unanimously passed the state legislature.
