“A war is being waged in Judea and Samaria; the prime minister and the IDF should treat it as a war,” said the Yesha Council, which called the rallies.
“No country should be allowed to harm our sovereignty,” stated Beit El Council head Shai Alon.
The IDF stressed that there was no security incident and the infiltrator is believed to be mentally ill.
Lawmakers on Capitol Hill express support for the stance.
Outgoing chairman Shlomo Ne’eman praised Ganz as “both a visionary and a hard worker who promotes issues related to the status and development of Judea and Samaria.”

“This is an enormous gift for the residents of Gush Etzion,” said Regional Council head Shlomo Ne’eman.
Ahead of the Cabinet vote, heads of local authorities accused the government of making them “chase after the budgets” at a time of war.
Shlomo Ne’eman recently spearheaded opposition to a major illegal Palestinian construction project in Judea and Samaria.
