The leaders discussed ways to deepen bilateral trade and cooperation, as well as the threats posed by Iran.
“Africa is blossoming and so is the potential for relations between Israel and countries on the continent,” said Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen.
The $5.4 million project will connect Mount Zion with the Hinnom Valley to the south.

The Israeli delegation included Yehezkel Lifshitz, the director of Israel’s Water Authority, and Yehonatan Bar-Yosef, project manager of Water Quality Management & Ecology at KKL-JNF.
Some three dozen demonstrators have been arrested, one was accidently hit by a car.
