Students from Baruch College in New York City won the grand prize for their project, “Brave,” in the second annual, pro-Israeli advocacy contest sponsored by the Adam and Gila Milstein Family Foundation.
They note the strategic nature of the areas in which they live, as well as the existing economic and often unknown social collaboration between Jews and Palestinian Arabs.
“From this Benjamin, it’s not about the Benjamins!” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told the annual AIPAC conference speaking by live video from Israel.
“In the last 24 hours, the IDF destroyed major Hamas terrorist installations on a scale not seen since the end of the military operation in Gaza four years ago,” said the Israeli prime minister.
“Criticizing Israel’s policies is an acceptable thing to do in a democracy. But criticizing the very right to exist of Israel is not acceptable,” said U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.
Upon their return, they will infuse the communities they serve worldwide with key insights into the relationships between the governments and Jewish communities of the United States and Israel.
“The reality in the south—as we unfortunately saw today where Israeli children spend their nights in bomb shelters while the heads of Hamas celebrate—must end now, and it will,” said former Israel Defense Forces Chief of Staff and Blue and White Party leader Benny Gantz.
Pence blasts anti-Semitic rhetoric, 2020 Democratic candidates for missing AIPAC
Vice President Mike Pence blasted Democratic freshmen in the House of Representatives on Monday, in addition to certain candidates on the 2020 presidential campaign trail, for the former using “rank anti-Semitic language” and the latter for avoiding the AIPAC annual policy conference in Washington.

“When someone accuses American supporters of Israel of dual loyalty, I say: Accuse me,” said House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) to a standing ovation at the annual American Israel Public Affairs Committee Policy Conference in Washington, D.C.
“Since 2008, we have only had presidential candidates speaking in actual election years,” said the source.
This comes after the left-wing group MoveOn called on candidates to skip the event through conducting a survey among its members, in which 74 percent “agree or strongly agree” that “any progressive vying to be the Democratic nominee for president should skip the AIPAC conference,” said the organization in a statement.
Adam Milstein has withdrawn from a panel at the upcoming AIPAC conference after tweets criticizing Democratic Reps. Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib over their rhetoric and ties to CAIR.
