The office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu released the list of the 16 hostages who returned to Israel in the most recent round of exchanges with Palestinian prisoners.
The hostages were handed over by Hamas terrorists to representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Gaza.
The U.S. secretary of state added that “the events of Oct. 7 only further confirm” the U.S. commitment to a two-state solution.
The Islamists attributed their deaths to “a previous Israeli shelling.”
The IDF also arrested 17 wanted terrorism suspects.
“Hamas is going nowhere, and if we continue to negotiate with them, they will continue stretching these negotiations ... We cannot allow this to happen,” said Mosab Hassan Yousef.
“I will remain grateful for the sacrifice Rami made to save me for the rest of my life.”
Israeli Arab representatives argue that including Israeli Arabs in a deal with Hamas is undesirable as it gives the terror group a role within Israel’s Arab population.
Talks on a broader deal that would include freeing all of the hostages are reportedly taking place in Qatar.
