Israeli Ambassador to the United Nations Gilad Erdan notes that “4,000 Palestinian kids can’t go to school because of Hamas.”
The men, residents of Saudi Arabia, were arrested three years ago and accused of links with a terrorist organization and its fundraising.
Iran’s new president, Ebrahim Raisi, joined the head of the IRGC in praising Hezbollah for its recent rocket attack on Israel, as well as hailing the terrorists in Gaza.
The rocket-launching site was located in a civilian area, “once again emphasizing how Hamas endangers Palestinian civilians,” says the Israeli military.
While the reason for the attack isn’t clear, Israel’s firepower response was more extensive than July’s reply to a similar attack, though still calculated to avoid a broader deterioration in security.
Hamas is known to blur the lines between those who died of natural causes and those who died in the war • “The New York Times” provides a case study of inaccurate reporting on casualties among Palestinian children.
It rests on the ongoing ability of Israeli security forces to thwart nonstop Hamas terrorism recruitment and orchestration efforts.
“I will not be a part of an organization that supports those who wish to destroy us,” said Professor Yedidyah Langsam, chairman of Brooklyn’s College’s Computer and Information Science Department.
Israel also reduced the Gaza fishing zone from 12 to six nautical miles in response to the attacks.
The Israel Defense Forces called the explosion an “internal” matter.
Seeking to avoid drawing Israeli firepower south towards Gaza, which is deep in recovery mode, Hamas is looking for new avenues to promote an “equation”; Hezbollah to the north announced the equation, and Iraqi militias and the Houthis have pledged allegiance to it.
Mordechai Better, director of the Gush Katif Commemoration Center who lived in the Gaza Strip for 26 years, recalled “there was talk at the time of civil war—of shooting, of violence—but our public said we won’t raise a hand against soldiers. We won’t be violent. We won’t shoot. We will do everything we can to convince through words.”
