Iran warns of ‘harsh’ response to any US, Israeli strikes

“The Islamic Republic of Iran’s response to any tyrannical aggression will be harsh and remorseful,” tweeted Masoud Pezeshkian.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on Tuesday threatened a “harsh” response to possible renewed Israeli or U.S. attacks against its nuclear program or ballistic missile arsenal.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran’s response to any tyrannical aggression will be harsh and remorseful,” Pezeshkian tweeted in Farsi, per a translation by Tehran’s semi-official Mehr News Agency.

In a separate post, Ali Shamkhani, a political adviser and representative of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei in Iran’s Defense Council, threatened the Jewish state, using implicit language in an entry written in Hebrew.

“Under Iran’s defense doctrine, some responses are determined even before the threats reach the implementation stage,” wrote Shamkhani. “Iran’s missile and defense capabilities are uncontrollable and do not require authorization. Any aggression will be met with a severe, immediate, and unexpected response.”

The statement came shortly after President Donald Trump said his country would “knock the hell out of” Iran’s government if it attempted to rebuild nuclear sites targeted by the United States and Israel in June. Trump made the comment during a press conference he gave in Florida, alongside visiting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

In remarks to reporters, Trump agreed to military action alongside the Israel Defense Forces if Tehran continued with its missiles and nuclear activities.

“Yes, the nuclear: fast,” the president told reporters at his Mar-a-Lago estate. “One will be yes, absolutely. The other we’ll do it immediately.”

Jared Sclar, a Democratic political consultant, told JNS that the rematch between Aisha Wahab, an anti-Israel state senator, and Melissa Hernandez, a former mayor of Dublin, Calif., in November will be “genuinely competitive.”
The faction is “an extension” of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Quds Force and is “not a Lebanese resistance movement,” a State Department official said.
“We decided that it was time for a rigorous narrative review of what we called anatomy of antisemitism in the health professions, not just medicine but across-the-board,” one of the authors of a new paper told JNS.
Aisha Wahab states on her campaign site that Melissa Hernandez is funded by AIPAC, while the latter’s campaign site doesn’t mention the word “Israel” or “Jewish.”
