Hezbollah officials test positive for coronavirus after meeting with Iran military

Senior Hezbollah officials have tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19) and have been placed under quarantine after meeting with affected Iranian military officials this week in Beirut, according to media reports.

Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah is currently under quarantine as a precaution.

Hezbollah, an Iranian proxy and U.S.-designated terrorist group, has denied reports that its leader has tested positive for the virus, though did confirm his quarantined status.

Iran has been one of the hardest-hit countries, with some 7,161 cases of infection and 237 deaths, Iran’s Health Ministry said on Monday. The World Health Organization has officially called it a pandemic in the regime.

“Itamar Ben-Gvir’s reckless grandstanding is not representative of government policy,” Yechiel Leiter said.

Authorities are reviewing a 75-page document allegedly written by two teenage suspects accused of killing three people outside an Islamic center before dying by apparent suicide.

The two men were arrested on Monday after defacing a public park bench with a swastika and the words “Adolf was here.”
