An Israeli drone strike in the Al-Mansouri area of Southern Lebanon on Sunday eliminated a Hezbollah terror operative, according to the Israel Defense Forces.

Muhammad Ali Shuweikh “was responsible for communication between the terror organization and the residents of the area regarding financial and military subjects. Additionally, the terrorist operated to seize private assets for terror use,” the IDF said on Monday.

“The terrorists’ activities constituted a violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon,” the IDF said, in reference to the U.S.-brokered Nov. 27, 2024, ceasefire between Jerusalem and Beirut that ended the conflict with Hezbollah.

“The IDF will continue to operate to remove any threat and defend the State of Israel,” it added.

IDF troops continue to thwart Hezbollah rebuilding attempts

The army on Sunday highlighted the work of troops from the 228th and 300th brigades operating in Southern Lebanon under the 91st Division over the past week to ensure that Hezbollah does not rebuild its terror capabilities to threaten Israel.

During a nighttime operation in the Aitaroun area, soldiers dismantled several Hezbollah structures after attempts to restore them were identified. In the village of Ramyeh, an operation took place to dismantle weapons. Soldiers founds rifles, Kalishnikov-type rifles, magazines and ammunition.

In addition, troops teamed up with the Israeli Air Force to conduct precision strikes on five terrorist targets, while eliminating three Hezbollah terrorists in several different villages.

The trip comes as tourism from the United States began to pick up this summer, just ahead of next month’s resumption of direct flights to Tel Aviv by two major U.S. airlines.
“If you are not here, you allow the enemies to take over,” Danny Danon told JNS, of why the Jewish state must be present at the United Nations. “If I do not come to the room, they will continue to promote hate.”
“We decided that it was time for a rigorous narrative review of what we called anatomy of antisemitism in the health professions, not just medicine but across-the-board,” one of the authors of a new paper told JNS.
The decision was the first time in the country’s history that a judge has been removed from office over anti-Jewish hate speech.
