A senior Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) figure expressed concern on Wednesday that the results of Israel’s election would lead to the resumption of talks between Israel and the Palestinian Authority, Arutz Sheva reported on Thursday.

“We are closely monitoring any development in the [election] results in Israel,” said PIJ Deputy Secretary General Muhammad al-Hind, according to the report.

“Palestinian resistance organizations in the Gaza Strip are constantly improving their military capabilities based on lessons learned from the clashes with Israel,” he added.

“The Palestinian resistance organizations are able to produce weapons despite the siege on the Gaza Strip and they have the ability to prevent Israel from achieving its objectives. We trust the Palestinians worldwide to fight Israel,” said al-Hindi.

Meanwhile, seven people were injured in the Gaza Strip on Wednesday when three rockets fired at Israel from Gaza landed in the Hamas-controlled enclave.

The slain man’s brother was admitted to the hospital in moderate condition.
Anthony Albanese downplayed the hecklers’ reception, saying the overall atmosphere was “incredibly positive.”
Two divisions continue to dismantle the Iranian-backed group’s infrastructure in Southern Lebanon, as another division prepares to join the fight.
Meanwhile, Washington has issued a short-term authorization permitting the sale of Iranian oil currently stranded at sea.
“This is a war crime, but it is not surprising because the Iranian regime is a terrorist regime,” Defense Minister Israel Katz says at a damaged kindergarten.
The U.S. military has thus far struck over 8,000 targets across the Islamic Republic, including 130 enemy vessels, according to CENTCOM chief Adm. Brad Cooper.
