Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife, Sara, met in Florida on Monday with the parents of slain Israel Border Police Master Sgt. Ran Gvili, the last Israeli held in Gaza.
The meeting took place shortly after the couple arrived in the United States. Netanyahu was scheduled to meet later Monday with President Donald Trump and other senior administration officials.
Netanyahu told the parents, Tali and Itzik Gvili, that Israel is making every effort to return their son’s body for burial, calling him a “heroic soldier.”
Sara Netanyahu expressed support and solidarity with the family during what the Prime Minister’s Office described as an emotional meeting.
