Two Israel Defense Forces soldiers were moderately injured and two others were lightly injured when a personnel carrier drove over a roadside bomb during counterterror raids in northeastern Samaria on Wednesday.

The troops were evacuated for medical treatment at an Israeli hospital and their families were informed, the IDF announced in a statement.

The attack on the “David” ultra-light armored personnel carrier came as Israeli security forces launched an operation to thwart terrorist activities in the towns of Tubas, Tammun and Far’a in northeastern Samaria, killing five Palestinian terrorists and wounding others.

Several wanted Palestinians have been arrested and weapons confiscated.

“As part of counterterrorism activity in the Jordan Valley area, an aircraft struck a number of armed terrorists in the area of the town of Tammun,” the IDF said, adding that more details would be forthcoming.

The Palestinian Authority’s official Wafa news agency named a terrorist killed in Tubas as Fayez Fawaz Abu Amer and added that three Palestinians were killed in an Israeli drone strike on a “group of young men” in Tammun.

According to Wafa, since Tuesday night, at least five Palestinians were killed in Anata near Jerusalem, and Tubas and Tammun.

According to the Diaspora Affairs Ministry, the terrorist group promoted genocide claims against Israel at the ICJ and influenced international media coverage.
