In a speech before the U.N. Security Council on Thursday, Danny Danon, Israel’s ambassador to the United Nations, called Riyad Mansour, the Palestinian “permanent observer” at the international body, a “terrorist in a suit” for his unwillingness to denounce Hamas.

“You have spent two decades in this place proposing resolutions which stir chaos, sow division and avoid any hope,” said Danon, who replaced Gilad Erdan this month in the diplomatic post. “You have accomplished absolutely nothing.”

“Who do you represent here today?” Danon asked. “Do you represent the Hamas terror organization?” Mansour has delivered “hundreds of speeches” since Oct. 7 but has yet to utter “anything even resembling a condemnation of Hamas,” he added.

“Mr. Mansour, if you cannot condemn them you are one of them,” he said. “You do not represent the Palestinian people. Mr. Mansour, you are a terrorist in a suit. I demand you to condemn Hamas. If you do not condemn them, you are one of them.”
