Indian-owned supermarket giant Lulu Group International, with headquarters in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates, is negotiating with Israeli government officials about operating stores in Israel, the business daily Globes reported on Monday.
Officials from Israel’s Ministry of Economy and Industry have been holding talks with Lulu.
With an annual revenue of $8 billion, Lulu operates 227 stores and 24 malls in 22 countries in the Middle East, Asia, Europe and the United States.
In related news, Emirates Airline announced the start of a daily flight service connecting Dubai and Tel Aviv starting on June 23, reported Globes.
